Travelling to Salt Spring Island
Getting to Salt Spring is half the
fun! The ferry rides from the mainland or Vancouver
Island are beautiful sightseeing excursions. Bring your
binoculars and you will surely spot bald eagles, seals,
and maybe even an orca.
Or get an eagle-eye view of the beautiful Gulf Islands
from a sea plane. What a great way to take in all of
the natural splendour of the region.

There are four sea plane companies
which service Salt Spring Island:
Harbour Air
connecting the Gulf Islands to Vancouver and Vancouver
Island May-September through regularly scheduled flights
or charters.
Kenmore Air
offers daily flights from Seattle, Washington May-September
as well as charters
Seair Seaplanes
a Vancouver-based company offering year-round flights
from Vancouver Airport to Salt Spring Island.
Salt Spring Air
a new Salt Spring-based company offering services from
Salt Spring to the mainland and Vancouver Island

Vesuvius-Duncan 11 trips daily, 25 minute crossing
Fulford-Victoria 8 trips daily, 35 minute crossing

There are also seven public docks and four commercial
marinas for those travelling by private boat.

Once you have arrived here, you may
need transportation. At present there are no public
transit or bus services on the island. There are, however,
