Fiona and her husband David, owners of Sweetwater farm,(and their two Golden Retrievers) welcome you for a farm visit. Come and enjoy some good ol' farm hospitality!
For well over 25 years the Walls family has been a fixture of the Salt Spring Island community. The family first took root on the island when Fiona's parents-in-law, Harry and Joan, purchased their dream property: 40 acres of painting-perfect farmland nestled in the mountains – a lush, picturesque place called the Cranberry Valley. Their weekend hobby of visiting Salt Spring from Vancouver to work on the farmhouse became their ideal lifestyle when they moved in and began keeping livestock and harvesting a yearly crop of hay, a tradition that continues today.
Fiona first made the move in 1987, leaving Tsawassen with her husband David and their two young children, Wesley and Christina. Their third child, Jennifer, was born on Salt Spring in 1990 - a true Salt Springer! (Ask the locals when a Salt Springer is a real Salt Springer!)
David's career as a helicopter pilot eventually took them north where they spent time living in various coastal communities, but Saltspring was always home. They returned in 1998 when David's career had him commuting overseas, and in 2005 they purchased the family property, Sweetwater Farm, to carry on its traditions into the next generation. Fiona welcomes clients to come visit the idyllic family farm. If it's the right time of year, you might even end up helping to harvest the hay!
Fiona has over 20 years of experience in sales and management and a long history of working as an innovative entrepreneurial. At the age of twenty-five Fiona and her husband wrote and produced Canada's very first souvenir video (on Beta tape!) for the Vancouver Aquarium, landing them national television exposure. They then took their marketing and advertising experience to create a successful, and at the time unique, book called the Walls Bridal Directory and Wedding Planner. Fiona, an award-winning Realtor, brings her interpersonal skills and a vast amount of knowledge in print and radio marketing to the table as a realtor.
Fiona's experience and expertise makes her a unique and dynamic Realtor. She will listen to what a client's needs are and work together with the client to create an informed and comfortable home-buying or selling experience.
